Day 9 Hanyang Orientation Day, finally made our way to school for orientation today, the subway ride wasn't very long, it was about the same as how I go to school in Singapore. Apparently we were almost late and came out of the subway and ran towards our destination...               Look at how steep the slope is! There are also performance put up by the middle and high school students!       The faculty there also booked the whole cinema for the screening of the movie for the exchange students... Each of the students gets to redeem a free ticket at the Wangshimi Cinema with this ticket   I didn't went ahead to watch the movie as I already had plans to meet up with my other friends in Incheon in the late evening for stay over at their place.  Once the orientation was over, all of us were very hungry as we didn't have the time to grab lunch, so one of our friend brought us to the rice burger place for lunch. The rice burger was cheap and it w

Day 8 Stayed at home the most for today as compared to the other days... My friend and I made breakfast for our room mates today, we made egg bread (that's is what I used to call it) but my friend said that it's called french toast. For lunch, one of our friend from the other apartment came to cook for us today. I don't know what's the name of the dish called but it was quite salty although he didn't add any salt inside the dish, but I think it's because of the paste that he used to cook it.     During the preparation phrase    Head Chef and Sou chef  I did help out with the rice but it turned out slightly burnt... :( These are what he made, Stir fry pork with chili paste and the one on the right consist of some luncheon meat, mushrooms, sausages and garlic.     Lunch is served! Spent the whole afternoon on my computer, blogging and also watching some of shows online until I took a short nap... woke up feeling hungry and w

Day 7 Stayed overnight at my friend apartment and woke up terribly...... Feels bad to wake up that way all the time....One of my other friend also woke up around the same time as me so she made some lemon water for us to drink. She was also feeling terrible and her face turned pale... Went to the washroom a few times to puke but nothing seems to came out... Skype with my parents and grandparents in the morning, grandma was able to recognize me and asked if I'm cold there... Grandpa on the other side was not doing very well.... he wasn't able to recognize me at first.... that just makes me very sad and worried, I tried to ask my dad to put on his spectacles for him so that he could see clearly, but he still couldn't get it until my dad told him who I was.... I almost cried when I saw him on Skype.... it just feels different when he sees me on Skype... the smile that he used to show me is no longer there... no smile, no laughter, it's just frowns... chat with my parent

Day 6 Our landlord made an arrangement for us today to meet up with the French student that is staying in the same apartment, it was very awkward there as most of them were speaking in French and chatting we were there not able to understand them... but lucky the host was also there and she got us talking to them in the end. This was the photo that was taken awkwardly.... After meeting the French students, my friend and I went over to the other apartment which our other friends are staying, Incheon. It was about and hour ride there with 2 transfers. Incheon as compared to Seoul is much more slow paced in my opinion. The groceries there are also a whole lot cheaper! Broccoli in Seoul is about 1000 - 2000 won but in Incheon you can find it for just 500 won! Aside from that the apartment that my friends are staying is also near a lot of mart and convenience stores so that  makes shopping for necessity more easy. We went over to Incheon in the late afternoon upon arrival we wen

Day 5 Our friends from Incheon came to visit us today in Seoul to have meals and shop together. We went to Myeong Dong 명동 today, however this time we alighted at Euljiro-1-ga Station 을지로입구역 instead of the Myeong Dong 명동 station. We had Yoongae Chicken Galbi with cheese for lunch today.    Aside from this, we ordered 2 servings of rice to go with it so they helped us to stir in the rice plus the cheese once we ate about half of our lunch. It was a little too oily for me but I can deal with that with the tea I had at home. After lunch we went to shop, as we were in a very big group, it was hard for us to shop together so we split up into smaller groups. My friend and I were not really looking for something so we went into the shops to take photos instead. The Style Nanda shop have really very fancy theme at every floor displaying all their products and I do especially like the last floor which is the balcony where I can just lay down on the bean bags and stare at the s
