Day 13

Friends from Incheon came to visit us today! Always looking forward to this day since school started... Woke up early in the morning to prepare to fetch them from the subway station. I was really very happy to see them! And they are staying over at our apartment for a night which makes me feel more excited! Our plan was to have the famous Ginseng Chicken at Angkuk station before heading to the Palace! On the way there there were a lot of policemen all lined up and buses were parked close together so that no single individual can pass through....

Just look at the amount of policemen that were on duty

After about 10 minutes walk we reached our lunch destination, since the restaurant does not allow sharing, each of us have to allow a dish. We ordered a normal ginseng chicken soup, a black garlic ginseng soup, sweet and sour fried chicken and a kimchi pancake

This meal cost about 14500 won per person (shared among 4 person) and we couldn't finish the chicken... Taste wise... I would say slightly below average, but anyway, it's a good experience..

After lunch, we head off to the Palace!

However, after we realize that it was not worth it to go in to the Palace as it was a little late and it closes at 6pm, ( we reach there about 3pm) we decided to head to somewhere else... We went to the Bukchon Hanok Village (북촌한옥마을). There were a lot people dressed in Hanbok walking around taking pictures...

There were also a lot of steep slopes there which require a lot of stamina to climb all the way up

The scenery at the top was really beautiful! We did manage to catch a glimpse of the sun setting and took numerous photos on it.

We also bought some snacks along the way back to the subway station

After visiting the village, we head back to a restaurant nearby to have our dinner, we had dumplings and cheese ramen for dinner, the dumplings were very tasty!

went for a walk after dinner to 散散心... we walked to this street where it's filled with different pubs and restaurants

After the long walk, we head back to the apartment... by then there were a lot of feelings going through.... mostly sadness... I was trying to hold back for quite some time then but 'it' just came out naturally.... walked to the mall to see what is the timing for the movie... came back home and realise that most of them are tired and decided not to watch... so then we decided to go to the PC bunk instead! First time there!

I was a little dizzy at first cause of the big screen, we spent most of out time downloading the game onto the computer because the games here requires an account to play with... we did managed to play Dota 2, it was exciting and fun! After the PC bunk, we went to another friend apartment to watch soccer up till late 4am plus, it was really worth watching! Had some talks with some of my friends before I fall asleep... Had some disappointments, some sadness, but mostly were happiness today...
