Day 11
First day of school at Hanyang University as an exchange student... Class starts at 3pm today but we'll have to report to school early to collect our student card... My friend and I decided that we'll make lunch at home to save money as we have been spending quite a lot for the past weeks... My expenditure up till now is about $202.. so for our brunch, we made spaghetti with broccoli and some meat.As for presentation of the food, it's not very appealing because we were too hungry, but it does taste good.
After lunch, I didn't feel quite well not sure if it's because of the spaghetti or was it because I've taken too much at one go, but after some rest, I feel much better and so we prepared and head off to school.
School was quite challenging for us, we had to climb hills and mountains and steep steps to reach to the building that we have classes in. Just take a look at how steep these steps are.... but the view from the very top is amazing..
We went to explore the school of business, first thing we head to was their cafeteria... look at how much the portion of food served in school...
Apart from that, we also got lost on the way to our class... it was just confusing... we even went to the wrong class and only realise it when the class was about to start! We took our things and rush out of the classroom immediately just so that we are not late but still we were a few minutes late for the class... Professor was kind enough to close one eye as it was the first lesson.
This is us trying to decipher where we are on the map, the picture on the right is us escaping from the wrong classroom....
First class was okay, we had to introduce ourselves and provide a interesting fact, as I couldn't think of any so I mentioned that I do not have any interesting fact about myself but that does not work as the professor wanted an answer so I mentioned about dancing and stuffs.... lessons was suppose to end at 6pm but it ended at about 5 plus...
After which I had a mentor meeting at 6pm, the mentor meeting was basically for the exchange students to interact with the Koreans in the school to get to know the culture and the school better, it is also a platform for us to clear any doubts with them when it comes to school work or even touring in Seoul... it was a great experience meeting them.... We also got a free dinner that the school provides for us, it a burrito and a pepsi and it was really very spicy!
After the whole event, I decided to go home first because I'm partially afraid... My mentor was kind enough to send me to the station... I text some of my friends asking if they are ready to leave, some are so I waited for them in the subway station.... and we went back home together...
This is how the empty subway station looks like... looks kind of sad...
Went back home, took a bath and had a bad headache and throat feels dry... hopefully I don't get sick.... Gonna rest for now, feels terrible all over...
