Day 69

Field trip to Yangpyeong 양평! Signed up for the school field trip to the strawberry farm plus some additional activities, traditional games, making of rice cakes etc... before the field trip start, we were given a choice of a chocolate bread or a bagel for breakfast along side with the orange juice...

I chose the chocolate bread of course... since the trip to Yangpyeong 양평 is about 2 hours, I took a nap in the bus.... our first stop was calligraphy... I have no idea how to do it despite many practises on the blank piece of papers and this is the outcome of it... 

Looks nothing like calligraphy.... but I did tried... it was tough... we get to bring that home too....

Next activity was the making of rice cakes... I did get to hit it with the "hammer" it was really heavy... couldn't really lift it properly....

After everyone of us took turns, we get to try it along with the peanut power.... it was tasteless though but since I was already hungry, it tastes not that bad....

After that it was lunch time.... I was looking forward to it as the organizer came asking if we could take beef.... but it turns out to be a self made bibimbap

Taste was was okay, I did put a little of each ingredients into it, it was not that nice as I expected but it was still manageable... since we get to choose the amount of proportion to put it in, it was great for people like me who can't take too much food....

After lunch, we went around the area to explore, played with the dandelion, took pictures of the wonderful rural countryside view...

 

Right after that we were finally brought to the strawberry farm! It was about 20 minutes ride before we arrived at the strawberry farm, we can really smell the sweetness of the strawberry when the farmers open the doors for us to enter and pick the strawberry....

    

we were given a box to pick the strawberries and bring it bring home with us.... of course I did ate some when I was plucking it....

then it was time to return back to our school... I did enjoy the picking of strawberries a lot... slept on the bus again.... and took some pictures of the scenery outside...

I do hope to go back there again.... it's really a very nice place to go there and take some time off work... peaceful place...

Back at the apartment, had to get ready to prepare dinner for our guest that are coming to our apartment tonight.... since we have the pandan leaves and lemon grass from Singapore, we decided to cook Chicken Rise along side with the prawn paste chicken.... all did turn out well I would say...

Loved this version of chicken rice a lot! after dinner was social night... I did not join the others as I do not feel like drinking.... talked to my parents and went to find the apartment that they are planning to stay in a few weeks later, I was halfway there and then my phone went flat.... so I went back home... however it seems that the apartment was quite far off from the station....
end my day by going to the PC bunk with the guys.... lost a lot of the games before we had 1 victory.... after that we went back to our apartment to rest.....
